Returns the name of a type with generic parameters, without its generic parameter

Parameters

type
Type: SystemType
The type from which we need the name

Return Value

Type: String
The name of the type, without any generics information

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type Type. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
Examples
List{T} would become List`1 normally, but this method will return List
